顺德，大汕岛；人一绷紧，眼前就只剩窄窄一条水路，放空一个下午，是把天还给自己。
## 放空
两百多年前，运河上有人落水，
一条条船过去，
没有一条停下。
人绷得太紧，
世界就窄成船头三尺水。
今天，我把桨放下了。
遮阳网把太阳筛得细细的，
风扇慢慢转，
草地上的桌子空着，
等一个不着急的人。
原来三尺外面，
还有香蕉林，
还有一整片天。
冬天再长，
风也会从河上吹过来。

Shunde, Dashan Island. Wound too tight, we see only a narrow strip of water; one idle afternoon gives you back the sky.
### Stillness
Two hundred years and more ago,
someone fell into the canal.
Boat after boat went by,
and none of them stopped.
When we are wound too tight,
the world narrows
to three feet of water before the bow.
Today I lay down my oar.
The shade net sifts the sunlight thin,
a fan turns slowly,
and a table waits on the grass
for someone in no hurry.
Beyond those three feet,
there were banana trees all along,
and the whole wide sky.
However long the winter,
the wind still comes
across the river.
