阳朔，泳池后面一排喀斯特山；它们在海底待了很久，后来，站成了山。

## 海

这些山，  
从前在海底。

鱼从它们肩上游过，  
它们不知道  
自己会是山。

海慢慢退了，  
它们就慢慢站起来，  
站成一排，  
在雾里，一座比一座安静。

现在，山脚下  
有一小池蓝，  
像海回来，  
看了看它们。

Yangshuo. Behind the pool, a row of karst peaks; they lay a long time on the floor of the sea, and then they rose as mountains.

### Once a Sea

These mountains  
once lay under the sea.

Fish swam over their shoulders,  
and they did not know  
they would be mountains.

Slowly the sea drew back,  
and slowly they rose,  
standing in a row,  
in the mist, each quieter than the one before.

Now at their feet  
there is a little pool of blue,  
as if the sea had come back  
to look at them.
